Foundation For International Taxation

Established as an educational charitable Trust in India and registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 since January 18, 2006, FIT is dedicated to promoting knowledge and understanding of international tax laws through research, training, publications, and other allied activities.

Annual International Taxation Conference

FIT has been conducting a major International Taxation Conference annually in the first week of December in Mumbai. In addition to this flagship event, FIT organizes training programs and workshops covering various aspects of international taxation, including Basic International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.

Master Course

The Foundation for International Taxation (FIT) offers a specialized “Master Course” in Taxation of the Digital Economy, designed for experienced professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in this rapidly evolving area. Launched in April 2014, this course addresses the complexities and challenges posed by digital transactions and the taxation frameworks that govern them.

International Taxation

International taxation focuses on cross-border transactions and the tax rules in domestic laws that affect these transactions. Understanding international taxation requires a comprehensive study of tax laws and policies in both home and host jurisdictions, along with an in-depth examination of bilateral tax treaties and international tax practices.

Reference Library of International Taxation

To further support tax professionals, FIT plans to establish a reference library of international tax books, journals, and databases at its Mumbai office. This library will be freely accessible to all professionals interested in studying and researching international taxation, addressing one of the major challenges faced by professionals: access to quality study materials.

Vision

Our medium to long-term goal is to establish a world-class educational academy for international taxation studies in India, based in Mumbai. We look forward to your support in achieving this vision.

The Foundation has benefited from the guidance of Professor Klaus Vogel, a renowned expert in international taxation.
